The vineyard called Quinta do Miradouro is co-owned by Nigel Birch. A new high tech winery
has been built at Quinta do Miradouro, called the Adego do Cantor (winary of the singer) which was used for the first time in the 2003 vintage. Previously the grapes were transported to Alengejo for vinification.
Tours can be arranged and the visit includes viewing the production line, sampling the new
vintage and, of course, buying a few bottles. Unfortunately, there are no tours the weekends, and it is so popular you need to book in advance. I was disappointed, but maybe this will give me a chance to go again. |
